New decrees published related to Cybersecurity Act
Two decrees have been published related to the Cybersecurity Act implementing the NIS2 Directive in Hungary, one on the requirements for auditors and the other on the classification of information systems into security classes. As part of risk analysis and risk management, threats to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information systems shall be identified and documented by following the contents of the threat catalogue included in the decree.
Changes related to products affected by mandatory warranty
On 8 May 2024, Government Decree 151/2003 (IX. 22.) on the mandatory warranty for certain consumer durables was amended, and among other provisions, the warranty period has been increased. Since then, a separate government decree has been published listing the products covered by the mandatory warranty.
