The Central Statistical Office presented data on the economic situation of voivodships in April 2022.
The lowest unemployment rate was recorded in the Wielkopolskie voivodship - it amounts to 2.8%.
The highest salaries in industry and construction were received by employees in Mazowieckie voivodship - PLN 7,060 and PLN 8,427, respectively.
In the period of April 2022, the highest increase in production was recorded: in industry - in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (by 26.9%), and in construction - in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (by 79.4%).

Unemployment
At the end of May this year. the number of registered unemployed amounted to 850.2 thousand. people and was by 27.8 thous. people lower than at the end of April and by 176.5 thous. people lower than last year.
The unemployment rate, amounting to 5.1% at the end of May, was lower than in April by 0.1 percentage point. At the same time, it turned out to be by 1.0 percentage point. lower than a year ago, which is a weaker result than in April, when the unemployment rate was 1.1 percentage point lower than in the previous year. The unemployment rate in May 2022 was in line with the KIG forecast. May usually brings an improvement in unemployment statistics.
The highest registered unemployment was recorded in May in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodship (7.9%) and the lowest in Wielkopolskie (2.8%).
Wages in industry and construction
In April 2022, the average salary for the entire country was PLN 6,346 in industry and PLN 6,274 in construction.
Compared to last year's results, wages in industry increased by 11.0% and in construction by 13.4%.
The highest average wage in industry was recorded in the Mazowieckie voivodship (in January-May this year) - PLN 7,060. The lowest - in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodship (PLN 5,448).
Mazowieckie was also at the top of the construction payroll with a result of PLN 8,427. The region with the lowest level of remuneration in construction is the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (PLN 4,743).
Industry - production and efficiency
In the period of April 2022, sold production of industry increased annually by 14.6%. All regions saw an increase. The Zachodniopomorskie voivodship was at the forefront (production increased by 26.9%). A good result - an increase by 24.5% - can also be proud of, among others, masovian district. The production grew the slowest in Dolnośląskie Voivodeship (increase by 2.7%).
In the analyzed period, productivity in industry increased by an average of 13.0% for the entire country. In all voivodships an increase was recorded - the highest in Zachodniopomorskie (by 25.1%) and the lowest in Dolnośląskie (by 1.3%).
Construction - production and efficiency
In the first five months of 2022, production sold in construction increased nationwide by 36.5% y / y. Increases were recorded in all regions, led by the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (by 79.4%). Productivity also increased in all voivodships, and most dynamically in Świętokrzyskie (by 77.1%).
Housing market
In the period of January-January-May 2022, 91,187 flats were completed - 3.8% more than in the previous year. The highest increase was recorded in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodship (by 27.3%) and the highest decrease in the Dolnośląskie voivodship - by 19.6%.
